Frogger for PS2 | ||||||
| As an employee in the R-Zone section(video games) of a Toys R Us, I often recommend this game to parents looking to buy their young children a game. The graphics arent a "10" but who cares. It's easy enough for a child to pick up and play and not need a strategy guide. If youre looking for the next edition to the classic 80's arcade game you've come to the wrong place. This revamped oldie is nothing like its predecessor. Here Frogger has taken on a whole new role as an adventure hero (similar to PacMan fever) Like I said, if youre looking for classic Frogger dont get this game, but if youre looking for an appropriate game the kids can have a lot of fun with and also play with their parents, this is definitely the game for you. Hey, for ten bucks, how can you go wrong? | ||||||

| I bought my husband a PS2 for his bday, and being a child of the 80's, when I saw they had a Frogger game for PS2, I just had to get it(plus it was cheap -). The game is nothing like the original game, but me and my husband (who are both in our early 30's) absolutely loved it. There are some annoying things about the game (mainly camera controls/views), but overall we found it just challenging enough to keep you playing, but not so challenging that you get totally frustrated or need cheat codes or something to play it. Frogger takes you through a fantasy world reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. The levels are colorful and very creative. He searches through these levels (including water, a castle, a river boat, catacombs, etc..) to find the princess who he thinks will kiss him and turn him into a prince. Along the way, he collects coins, gems, magic stones, and fights a variety of bad guys. Many of the characterers are quite humourous, and there are lots of movie references in the game - such as the Cat Dragon, who sounds just like Sean Connery in Dragon Heart. Overall, the game was lots of fun, and a good stress reliever - and at 9.99, I definitely feel like I got my money's worth out of it. Other than the annoying camera controls, I really don't know why so many other people that reviewed this game gave it such low ratings? Summary: Pros Cons I think the Pros definitely out-weigh the cons - especially at $... | ||||||

| This game was great for me - but I'm new to 3-D adventure games. Until recently I was playing on a Gameboy Color and avoiding all games in 3-D because they made me dizzy. This game is paced slowly enough that I can actually get used to 3-D gameplay. It's alot of fun but the graphics don't always keep up with the action, several times I've been stuck in a wall for a few seconds because the view didn't update quickly enough. It's also not what I expected when I heard "Frogger", I thought I was getting an updated version of the original but it's really a different game playing on the Frogger name. Even so I really like the game and recommend it to those looking for something a little slower-paced. | ||||||
